Pensions (SIPP/SSAS). Keystone does not provide pension, tax or transfer advice, and never recommends moving a pension. Two Keystone products are engineered for pension capability: commercial interests in the registered care homes (HMRC's care-institution exemption — written tax opinion in progress, not yet confirmed) and rooms in the Greenock hostel (the hotel/inn/similar-establishment exemption, per Keystone's in-house analysis of FA 2004 Sch 29A — no personal-use rights, ever). In every case your own SIPP/SSAS administrator is the gatekeeper: their technical team assesses the asset and their written acceptance — not Keystone's view — decides; HMRC always has the final say. Pension purchases exclude furnishing packs (furniture is taxable “tangible moveable property”) and complete through your scheme administrator, not online. Self-contained apartments are residential dwellings and cannot be held in a SIPP/SSAS without punitive tax charges of up to ~55%. Always take advice from your own regulated adviser.
